A concept that was designed to enhance freshness, extend the wholesale floral industry season and expand the line of specialty cut flower products that are limited due to seasonality.
This concept is based on the following factors:
The northern growing climate zone provides products in the later part of the season
A line of product that is prohibited from entering the USA
Eliminating the USDA PQ entry effect
Minimize cost of transportation
Freshness vs. timely import process
In the last 10 years, we have developed Blooming of Beloit to become a 10 month supplier of blooming trees and shrubs (woodies), ornamental berries, twigs and perennials flowers & bulbs.
Sandy soil and two deep water wells and a drip-irrigation system let us control, maintain and enhance our yield, product grading and quality. The centrally located warehouse with two indoor coolers makes our post-harvest treatment a value-added process.
Our climate zone provides us the following seasonal offerings:
Spring: Blooming trees and shrub plus “bulb-blooming” plants
Early summer: Blooming shrubs, Blooming perennials and early season Berries
Late-Summer: Berries and late perennials
Fall: Late season berries and twigs
Winter: Twigs
