SHLOMO DANIELI INC was started
in 1996. Shlomo has been involved in
agriculture since the age of 14 when he began attending an Agricultural
boarding school in Israel.Upon
completing his Horticulture and teaching degrees at the Hebrew University in
Jerusalem he started to work at the largest Israeli floral company in Israel
and Europe.Shlomo spent 11 years
working for this company during which time he earned his marketing degree in
the Technion.
After working for a decade with
this company, Shlomo decided to move to America in 1981 to start his own
business.From 1981 to 1996 Shlomo was focusing on
importing specialty cut flowers from places that were new to everybody and
hardly known in America.
To
mention a few, In 1981 Liatris and Lilly from South Africa, Ginestra and French
Tulips from the French Riviera and long stem roses from Ecuador in 1986. .
In 1996 Shlomo sold his
importing business to pursue his passion for higher educational studies of
history.During this one and a half
year period he developed the DASH board, the color matching catalog,
which is a unique design tool to help the floral industry avoid color
confusion.By the end of his studies he
purchased 100 acre farm in Beloit Wisconsin, Blooming of Beloit,
returning to his first love of growing flowers.
Today Shlomo Danieli Inc has
grown to include an importing division, Alon Hagalil, which focuses on
marketing specialty cut flowers from places such as Israel, Thailand, Chile, and
Columbia, an advanced line of specialty cut flowers naturally growing in
Beloit, Wisconsin (Blooming of Beloit), a 100 acre farm, with over 40
employees, a color matching system specifically designed for flowers,DASH board, and The Israeli Herb
Companywhich imports fresh herbs from
Israel.
Today, our strengths lie in
executing ‘tailor made’ wholesale orders and having high grading specialty cut
flowers almost all year round (Peonies, ability to supply from November
to July, Eremurus from February to July, 7 color hybrid Lilac for
Mother’s Day, 11 varieties of Ornamental Berries).
